My uncle was a radio operator/gunner on a B-25C (or D) in India with the 89th Airdrone Squadron. They would fly on weekends to a town in Afghanistan to pick up goat milk for the base. He is 86 now, and I want to do a painting for him of his aircraft doing a "milk run", flying over "the Hump". He can not remember the details of his plane, so I am doing research. I am having a hard time finding information and photo/graphic references on the 89th and the the markings and insignias found on the a B-25 in the CBI. I have been at the cbi-history .com site, but it is very limited with information. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
To show that I am a serious artist, I have attached a photo of a painting I did of Tex Rankin's Great Lakes that I donated to the Oregon Aviation Historical Society's Museum last year.
